Namco's arcade racing series speeds onto a new platform in this early title for Nintendo DS. Ridge Racer DS distinguishes itself from most other handheld driving games by offering analog-control steering, through the DS' lower touch screen. A map of the track, lap, and record times are also displayed on the bottom screen. The game has a total of 20 tracks, including some based on fan favorites from earlier editions in the series. Wireless multiplayer racing is supported for up to six equipped DS gamers.
